NCC
There is one NCC company comprising of 160 cadets and a officer. Shri Julius Aind looks after the NCC.
Activities:Regular Parade on Saturday. Participating in various activities like, Pulse Polio Programme, Various camps.

NSS
Assistance , Devotion and Dedication are the three words which give the guarantee of peace ,unity and integrity, growth and development in the society. NSS ( National Service Scheme) works on these principles which is well known in the entire nation. In ST. XAVIER'S COLLEGE, Ranchi , NSS works under the guidance of Dr. Kamal Kr. Bose Approximately 100 volunteers are deployed in this noble activity. They organize various programs for the upliftment of the society.

COMMERCE SOCIETY
The COMMERCE SOCIETY was revitalized in June 2000. It organizes Quiz, Debates and other activities in the Dept. of Commerce.

WOMEN'S FORUM
The college has well organized WOMEN'S FORUM. Girl students, especially at the degree level are earnestly exhorted to taken an active part in the activities of the forum. This Forum organizes various activities for the integrated development of the girl students like personality development seminars, career orientations and life preparation courses.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of this college is popularly known as AROX . They have established chapters in Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and Chaibasa. COMPUTER SOCIETY
COMPUTER SOCIETY is collective effort of the students of Computer Application. This society organizes industrial tours, extra classes & and many other such activities. It is making a great effort to sustain the interests of students towards the field of I.T.

The SXCSU (St. Xavier's College Student Union) is an elected, non-political student body which co-ordinates the cultural activities of the campus.
